Sacramental Preparation
Infant Baptism

Parents must be members of St. James for at least 3 months or
have their pastor's permission and attend our pre-baptism class.  
The class is held on the third Sunday of the month from 1-2 p.m.

Please call the Parish Office to register for this class and for more
information regarding the requirements and policies of baptism.

The next baptism class will be held November 18.

After attending the class, parents should call to reserve a date for
Baptism celebration.  Baptisms are celebrated on the first Sunday of
each month.
First Eucharist - First Reconciliation

Children must be in at least the 2nd grade and active in the Faith
Formation program for
1 FULL YEAR prior to enrolling in the
sacrament preparation program.

Before these two sacraments can be received, candidates must
attend special preparation classes held throughout the year.

A copy of the candidate's Baptism certificate must be presented at
the time of sacrament registration.

Confirmation

Youth in the 10th grade or older and who are active in the teen
program of the Parish for
at least two years will be eligible to
register for Confirmation.

Candidates must attend preparation classes separate from the
regular teen program, the annual retreat, and have performed
service projects prior to the reception of the sacrament.

A copy of the candidates Baptism and Communion certificates must
be presented at the time of sacrament registration.

Preparation for this sacrament is coordinated through our Office of
Youth Ministry.  For more information, please contact Justin Messer

Marriage

Couples considering marriage must contact a priest or deacon at
least six months before the projected wedding date and must attend
a pre-marriage program.
Anointing of the Sick

Celebrated the last Saturday of the month after the 5 p.m Mass or
by appointment.
Eucharist for the Sick

If you wish to have Communion brought to someone who cannot
attend Mass, please call the Parish Office at 770-957-5441.

If you or a loved one is in the hospital, please call the Parish Office
and arrangements will be made for a priest or deacon to visit.
